Did you know? #2 – CTRL + ALT shortcut
I guess most of you know the trick to open a Lotus Notes database while holding CTRL + SHIFT to make hidden views visible – nothing new so far.
In Lotus Notes 8.x Standard there is a similar trick to open your mail database in the “basic” look & feel, instead of opening it as composite application. Simply press CTRL + ALT while double clicking your mail database icon.
This makes it more comfortable to switch between the basic and the standard look of your mail database. Especially for developers or administrators who wants to compare the functionality or have to support both types of clients, it is much faster then using the notes.ini setting “UseBasicNotes” to switch between the two layouts.
Simple trick, but nice to know :-)

Hey Dennis
Cant reckon what keyboard you have ;-)
What key is STRG ?
Earlier we used to do Ctrl+Shift and then the menu ‘View – Goto’ when we wanted to see the hidden views.
Cheers
