Did you know? #1 – Organize your replicator page
Although, I am working with all the IT stuff (mainly with Lotus/IBM products, but also with many other things) since many years now, I have a kind of Aha! Effect almost every day when discovering new features or learning new things. Some are so simple that I should be ashamed of not knowing them, some are not that simple but really helpful or interesting.
One of these things I have learned some days ago is, that you can easily organize your replicator page in Lotus Notes by creating folders and arrange your replicated databases within these folders. Especially if you have a lot of databases to replicate you can disable/enable replication for databases of one category/folder with a single click.

It’s a really simple thing, but did you know that? ;-)

Nice tip!
I didn’t know that.
Thanks for sharing.

The best bit about it is that you can effectively categorise your replications and turn them on and off en-mass.
Saves you having to switch each one off if you are on a slow link back to the server.

I feel naive for not knowing this one.

You don’t even have to go to the Create menu – Click the pull-down arrow on the “Replication and Sync” title (beside the Start Now) and you can create the folder there – I like the Show Selected there too to hide the noise of inactive stuff.
