Some weeks ago I upgraded our Sametime 8.0.2 environment to Sametime 8.5 to be able to upgrade one of the last Domino servers to 8.5.1 on the one hand and to be able to enjoy the new – websphere based – meeting experience in Sametime 8.5 in the near future on the other hand.

But the first step was to upgrade the Sametime Community server and stay on Domino as the underlying system for chat and meeting services.
